What Is Jobs Guarantee Scheme?
Nearly a million young people are not in education, employment or training - locking them out of meaningful work, denying employers the workforce of the future and holding back economic growth.
The Jobs Guarantee Scheme is a government-funded programme designed to help unemployed young people into work by offering a fully subsidised, 6-month paid job.
For eligible 18–21 year olds (with some flexibility up to 24), the government's aim is to give young people meaningful work experience, skills and confidence, while enabling employers to create low-risk, fully funded roles that can lead to sustained employment.
