Taking on the £105m no & low alcohol UK market which has grown 10-fold since 2009, they believe they are at the intersection of the low alc & kefir market.

They are branching out into other live products; they have already started selling they ginger & lemon infusion Remedio Naturale.

Journey So Far...

Started From The Kitchen.

​Nicola Hart, founder of Agua de Madre, started making Water Kefir in her kitchen.

Soft Launched.

​Soft launched the company + started trialling the drink in many restaurants in London as well as a few health shops.

The company raised their first round of angel investment + started building their Fermentary, in a railway arch in Hackney

Inspiring Prince Charles To Try Kefir.

​Business moved their production into their purpose built Fermentary / Taproom, Casa De Madre in Bohemia Place, Hackney - with an estimated production capacity for approx. 24,000 units a month.

Proudly won an 'Imbibe Drinks' award in the No & Low Fermented Drinks category.

In late 2019, launched into Planet Organic + more London bars and inspired Prince Charles to enjoy a glass of Beetroot Kefir at the 20th anniversary Swiss Cottage London Farmers Market.

Even Holly Liked It.

​Successfully launched Crowdfund campaign & raised £250k in March as Covid struck.

Recognised again by Imbibe, Highly Commended award in the No & Low Fermented Drink category.

Being seen on TV screen’s throughout the country on ITV’s This Morning, with Holly Willougby trying the 50cl Original bottle live on morning tv & saying “This is great!” Click here for the clip.
