Recipe Testing.

Having become fed up of drinking bad drinks when listening to great music, the founders decided to start Ace+Freak as a means of drinking better quality, natural drinks. They began recipe testing in the Autumn of 2017 testing over 30 different recipes.

Official Launch.

They launched their first product and presold 10,000 units to some of the UK’s best underground music festivals. The summer saw them launch new flavours at DAZED magazine summer party and Houghton Music festival.

Music Festivals Opportunities.

Having successfully begun making marks in the event and music festival industry then begun market testing across different sales channels in London. They also expanded their festival activities with 12 different festivals including Gottwood, Houghton, Kala and Anjunadeep Explorations.

Refining During Covid.

The year was due to be the national launch of Ace+Freak with nationwide distribution agreed and 44 music festivals lined up. Alas Covid had other ideas and they spent the year refining their business with new team members, better product and a few socially distanced events such as Secret Cinemas Drive Through thrown in for good measure.

National Distribution.

The year is shaping up to be very exciting with 28 festivals confirmed and many still in negotiation. Ace+Freak will be distributed nationally for the first time and they are in discussions with a range of retailers and venues. Watch this space for new job opportunities.
