The Opportunity
πΌ They are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager who enjoys developing long-term customer relationships while identifying and winning new business opportunities.
π± This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the food ingredients market and thrives on working closely with customers to deliver commercial growth.
π Working from a home office, you'll regularly visit customers across the UK (mainly the North), taking ownership of both existing account development and targeted new business activity.

What You'll Be Doing
π€ Build, develop and strengthen relationships with existing customer accounts.
π Grow existing business by identifying new opportunities, products and commercial partnerships.
π― Research, qualify and convert new business opportunities from agreed target customer lists.
π Meet customers across the UK & Ireland to understand their needs and develop long-term partnerships.
π Deliver engaging sales presentations, proposals and commercial agreements.
π¦ Work closely with internal Supply Chain, Procurement, Technical, Customer Service and Marketing teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
π Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline management.
π Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities within the food ingredients sector.
π‘ Share customer insights with Marketing and NPD teams to support new product development.
π Report on sales performance, account growth and commercial activity to the Sales Manager UK & Ireland.

About You
π₯£ Proven B2B sales or account management experience within food ingredients, food manufacturing or FMCG.
π Strong industry knowledge and established relationships with businesses such as Newly Weds Foods, Nactarome, Symrise, Synergy, other flavour houses and ingredient manufacturers.
πΌ A successful track record of growing existing accounts while generating new business.
π° Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales performance, profitability and margins.
π£οΈ Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
π» Experience managing customer pipelines using CRM systems.
π Comfortable working independently from a home office while remaining highly collaborative with colleagues.
