📦 With continued business growth across the UK and Europe, HJ Langdon is now looking to strengthen its operational and supply chain leadership team with the appointment of a hands-on 3PL Operations Manager.

📍 Location: SE1, London Office (Office Based Working)


The Opportunity

🚛 This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing international business where operational leadership, continuous improvement and strong supplier management are critical to ongoing success. The role will oversee third-party warehousing, inbound freight, outbound distribution and customer service operations, ensuring high service levels and operational efficiency across the supply chain.

🤝 Working closely with Procurement, Sales and Quality teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products move efficiently from global suppliers through to customers while maintaining strong compliance, cost control and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

📦 Manage 3PL warehouse and distribution partners, ensuring strong service levels, inventory accuracy and operational performance.

🚚 Oversee inbound freight operations, customs processes and relationships with freight forwarders and logistics providers.

📈 Monitor and improve operational KPIs including DIFOT/OTIF, stock accuracy, delivery performance and customer service standards.

💷 Negotiate freight and logistics agreements to improve cost-to-serve and operational efficiency.

🖥️ Support the continued development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems and warehouse integrations.

⚙️ Drive operational improvements across warehousing, reporting, inventory management and supply chain visibility.

👥 Lead and support a small operations and customer service team, providing training, structure and day-to-day leadership.

📋 Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Sales and QA to support broader business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Ideal Background

📦 Experience across supply chain, logistics or operations environments.

🚛 Strong experience managing 3PL providers, warehousing and international freight operations.

📊 Strong analytical capability with experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel skills.

🍔 Experience within Food, Ingredients or FMCG environments highly desirable.

💡 Practical, hands-on and commercially aware with a strong focus on operational reliability and continuous improvement.
