π Silgan Closures is seeking a commercially driven Regional Sales & Account Manager to lead profitable growth across the UK, Ireland and selected overseas markets within its Plastic & Metal Closures division.
π This is a strategic, field-based leadership role focused on delivering sustainable volume and value growth across food & beverage packaging markets.

THE ROLE
π Lead the execution of Silgan Plastic Closuresβ business strategy
π Deliver sales budget targets in both volume and value
π€ Strengthen and expand relationships within existing customer groups
π± Identify and convert new business opportunities aligned to strategic growth plans
πΌ Negotiate contracts covering pricing, volumes and commercial terms
π Monitor competitor activity and market developments
π¦ Review stock holdings, manage slow-moving inventory and implement corrective action
π Oversee customer complaints to ensure timely investigation and resolution
π’ Coordinate exhibitions and support sales agents to optimise market presence
π Provide accurate sales forecasts and key commercial reporting to management
π Travel across the UK, Ireland and Europe to maintain strong customer engagement

LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION
π¬ Maintain consistent communication with sales, customer service and technical teams
π¨βπΌ Provide effective leadership to direct reports (sales, back office & CTS where applicable)
π Ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration to strengthen Silganβs market position
π Support NPD processes and liaise with internal stakeholders to successfully launch new products

ABOUT YOU
π¦ Proven sales track record within Caps & Closures or Food & Beverage Packaging
π Demonstrated success achieving strategic and financial targets
π₯€ Knowledge of non-carbonated beverage and glass-packed food markets (desirable)
π» Advanced IT skills (MS Office essential; SAP knowledge advantageous)
π Strong commercial acumen with forecasting, reporting and analytical expertise
π£ Confident presenter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
π€ Skilled negotiator with proven cross-selling and account growth success
π Experienced in identifying long-term growth opportunities across ABC customer tiers
π§© Strategic thinker able to identify product improvements and incremental value
β‘ Self-motivated, resilient and able to perform under pressure
π Full driving licence essential
