THE ROLE:
In this pivotal role, youโll work closely with Better Natureโs Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Chris, and the wider team to drive the growth of their UK and German grocery accounts. With Better Nature's performance hitting new heights in 2024 โ including a 457% increase in UK retail sales and expansion into major retailers like Tesco, ASDA, and REWE โ you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of the tempeh category, helping to introduce a natural, high-fiber protein to millions of people. ๐
๐Develop and execute strategic Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with major UK and German accounts, such as Tesco, ASDA, Ocado, and REWE, to drive step-change growth and secure long-term partnerships.
๐ผOwn the P&L for UK and German Grocery accounts, ensuring that the business delivers strong profitability while growing market share.
๐คBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key retail customers, becoming their trusted partner and expert on all things tempeh and the meat-free category.
๐Lead cross-functional teams with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure best-in-class performance in their Grocery accounts, driving efficient execution of promotional activities and innovations.
๐ฑWin new business by expanding retail presence, identifying and securing new grocery and convenience customers to supercharge growth.
๐Analyse sales, market, and shopper data to identify new opportunities and refine strategies, ensuring they stay ahead of trends and continue to meet evolving consumer needs.
๐งฉDevelop and implement action plans to address performance challenges, ensuring KPIs are met and exceeded while maintaining a strong brand presence in stores.

ABOUT YOU:
๐ A genuine passion for Better Natureโs mission of bringing natural, gut-friendly proteins like tempeh to the masses, and a desire to make a lasting impact on global food systems.
๐ Experience in National Account Management within an FMCG branded environment, with strong experience working with UK grocery retailers (Tesco, ASDA, and others).
๐ฑ A background in F&B, particularly chilled foods, is a plus, as is experience in developing JBPs and a solid understanding of commercial finance.
๐ผProven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels with customers, internal teams, and external partners, with a talent for effective communication and negotiation.
๐Excellent analytical skills, with experience working with sales data and market research to uncover insights that drive growth.
๐ A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, showing resilience in the face of challenges and a willingness to get involved in all areas of the business.
๐ฑLeadership experience, as you will manage a direct report from Day 1 and will be expected to lead by example and support the professional growth of your team.
