THE OPPORTUNITY:
🚀 Doughlicious is seeking an innovative and strategic Product Development & Innovation Manager to lead their innovation pipeline and bring new, exciting products to life. This role will oversee the full lifecycle — from concept and recipe development through to commercial launch — ensuring every product meets the brand’s high standards for taste, quality, and clean-label integrity.
Working closely with the CEO, Technical and Operations teams, this person will play a key role in shaping the brand’s future product roadmap.
THE ROLE:
🧠 Lead the creation of new product concepts aligned with consumer insights and brand strategy.
🧪 Oversee recipe development and optimisation, balancing taste, nutrition, and functionality.
🏭 Manage the scale-up process from kitchen samples to commercial production.
📊 Maintain and manage a robust NPD pipeline with clear stage-gate processes.
🌍 Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Sales teams.
🤝 Build strong supplier partnerships and oversee ingredient sourcing in line with quality and ethical standards.
👩🍳 Lead, mentor, and inspire the product development team — encouraging creativity and continuous improvement.
💷 Manage NPD budgets, timelines, and capital expenditure to deliver projects efficiently.
ABOUT YOU:
💼 Experience in food product development.
🍦 Background in frozen, chilled, or bakery products and experience scaling products from bench to factory.
🌱 Strong knowledge of clean-label and better-for-you formulations.
🔍 Technically skilled in food safety, formulation, sensory testing, and cost modelling.
💬 A confident communicator and collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growing business.
