THE ROLE: NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER (FOODSERVICE)

You will be responsible for managing and growing foodservice national accounts in the UK. They already have a host of top notch restaurant groups serving Fable on their menus who you will be looking after and nurturing, but they want more. There will be a strong emphasis on new business development within the casual dining, premium pub group and contract catering sectors.

A key to your success will be engaging with prospects to help them understand the Fable product range, how it could fit on their menus and cooking up Fable for them to taste.

You’ll be a team player and be willing to do whatever it takes to get their meaty mushroomy goodness in front of as many UK diners as possible.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

🌱 Nurturing existing customers and growing sales.

🚀 Winning new business and growing sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

🌐 Identify and reach out to prospective partners in the ‘foodservice’ industry (i.e., mainly restaurants, hotels, pubs, contract caterers & universities).

👩‍🍳 Engage with the culinary team to create new partnerships.

💡 Position Fable in a compelling way (brand, ingredients, pricing, etc.) and showcase the range of Fable products.

🍽️ Ideate potential menu creations.

💰 Maximise profit in partnership with the executive/commercial teams to negotiate margins, deals, and contracts.

🔗 Coordinate marketing activities with the partner and encourage the use of Fable brand name on the partners’ menu.

🔄 Work with the partner to ensure they’re aware of the range of Fable marketing activations they can take advantage of.

📈 Work with the partner to increase the number of Fable-based dishes on their menu over time.

🔄 Be disciplined in tracking all your activities in their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

ABOUT YOU:

🕓 Foodservice sales experience, ideally within a key account/national account role.

📈 Track record of lead generation and winning new business within foodservice.

👥 Experience working with foodservice wholesaler sales teams.

🍽️ Food lover - you’d ideally love to cook and could even have a chef background.

📊 CRM experience ideal, but at least a strong willingness to learn.

💼 Experience implementing JBPs, commercial negotiation, and head office presentations.

🤝 Be flexible and a real team player.

🚀 Fable are a young and rapidly growing business, and so you’ll need to be comfortable with the evolving requirements of the role!

🌱 The ideal candidate will have an affinity with this new world of plant-based food and, most importantly, mushrooms. But if not, Fable will make sure you’ll love them in no time.

🌐 Fable are a globally distributed remote team. Flexible schedule is a plus, but might sometimes be outside of regular business hours within reason, to accommodate different time zones. 🌍✨
